Our Vision
We set up Bright Room Community Acupuncture with the belief that acupuncture is a powerful healing therapy, that should be accessible to as many people as possible. We therefore offer treatments on a ‘Sliding Scale’ price of £30-£50 – you pay what you can afford from the scale.
Although we aim to be affordable, treatments at Bright Room are still high quality and effective – we see this in the results we get and in the feedback from our patients!
Community Acupuncture
We are a community acupuncture project – we offer affordable acupuncture treatments in a community space.
Most U.K. acupuncturists treat patients on a one-to-one basis, we don’t.
We follow the traditional Chinese style, where acupuncture usually occurs in a community setting and the practitioner gets to see multiple patients in one hour.
We will ask you questions about your condition, and will also rely on pulse and tongue diagnosis to decide how to treat you.
The sliding scale
Most U.K. acupuncturists also see one patient per hour and charge £50-£110 per treatment, we don’t.
Research has shown that acupuncture is most effective when it is done frequently and regularly – once a week is often the minimum required to make progress on any kind of health problem.
And we want to make it possible for you to receive acupuncture regularly enough and long enough to get better and stay better, reason why we have created a sliding scale.
Our sliding scale goes from £30-£50 and you choose how much you can afford every time. We will not ask you to bring proof of your income, as we understand that everyone’s situation is different.

Although we are a community acupuncture clinic, we pride ourselves on giving you the same level of care you could recieve at a private session.
