Andrew originally trained to become a psychologist, but during these studies he realised that he was more drawn to Eastern philosophies and holism.
This led him to begin training in Martial Arts and energy work. He studied Qigong (Chi Gung) with Sifu Shi Yanzi at the Shaolin Temple (London), becoming experienced in using Ba Duan Jin (Eight Pieces of Brocade) and Shoalin Nei Gong (Internal Energy Work) for improving and maintaining health.
He then trained in acupuncture at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture, and followed up this with a diploma in Tui Na (Chinese Medical Massage).
Andrew is influenced by the ‘Classical Acupuncture’ styles of Jeffrey Yuen, which utilise all the acupuncture meridians, as well as other treatment modalities such as essential oils. Since 2021 he has been practising Classical Chinese herbal medicine, in the Jing Fang tradition, as taught by Frances Turner.
He runs two busy multi-bed clinics, in London (Bright Room Community Acupuncture) and Bristol (Bristol Community Acupuncture), as well as a private practice in Bristol.
Additionally, he teaches acupucture and herbal medicine on accredited courses in London and Oxfordshire
